Hi Techer! In this content, let’s talk about what is a computer? How does a computer work? What is the importance of a computer nowadays? And how our path will be in the next contents through a computer.

A computer is a electronic equipment capable of performing calculations, personal computers perform billions of calculations per second, which for a human being is impossible and even if we calculated our whole life we would not be able to reach the same amount of calculations that a computer performs.

There are still supercomputers in the world that are used by large companies, these computers are even more powerful, and are capable of performing trillions or even quadrillions of calculations per second.

Computers work based on programs that are created by people, these people are called programmers, they are responsible for creating the logic for computers to work perfectly.

Computers are made up of two parts hardwares and softwares, hardwares are the physical components that make up the computer, they are elements that we can pick up with our hands, such as keyboard, monitor, mouse, case, motherboard, among other components, and we have the second part, which are the softwares, which are the computer programs, which we cannot take with our hands, as they are logical resources that are running inside the computer’s operating system.
